1. Definitions

• "Jelita", "we", "us" refers to Jelita, 102 Neil Road, #03-18, Singapore 088861.
• "Participant", "you" refers to any individual who registers for or attends a Jelita programme, or who uses the Jelita website.
• "Programme" refers to any of Jelita's educational offerings: the Verandah Discussions on Household Finance, the Verandah Investment Course, or the Open Verandah Track.
• "Content" refers to all materials produced by Jelita, including printed booklets, written summaries, and website content.
• "Agreement" refers to these Terms & Conditions as accepted by you upon registration or use of the website.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for a Jelita programme or by using the Jelita website, you accept these Terms & Conditions in full. If you do not accept them, please do not proceed with registration or use of the website.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age and capable of entering a legally binding agreement. Jelita's programmes are designed for adults; participants under 40 may attend with prior discussion.

3. Service Description

Jelita provides financial education programmes for adults. All programmes are educational in nature. Jelita does not provide financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, or tax advice. Nothing in Jelita's programmes or materials constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial product.

Programmes are subject to minimum enrolment. If a cohort does not reach the minimum, Jelita may defer the cohort, and participants will be offered a transfer or a full refund.

4. Registration and Accounts

Registration is completed by submitting a registration form and paying the programme fee. Your place is confirmed upon receipt of payment. You are responsible for providing accurate registration information.

Jelita does not operate user accounts. Your registration details are held as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Participant Responsibilities

As a participant, you agree to:

• Attend sessions with respectful and considerate conduct towards other participants and facilitators
• Keep confidential the personal or financial information shared by other participants during group sessions
• Not record sessions (audio or video) without prior written consent from Jelita
• Not distribute Jelita's printed materials or booklets to third parties without permission

6. Intellectual Property

All content produced by Jelita — including booklets, written summaries, website content, and session materials — is the intellectual property of Jelita. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use these materials for your own educational purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, or publish them without Jelita's written consent.

7. Payment Terms

Programme fees are as listed on the Jelita website at the time of registration. Fees are stated in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and include GST where applicable. Payment is due in full at the time of registration to confirm your place.

Refund policy: If you cancel more than 14 days before the programme start date, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel within 14 days of the start date, no refund will be issued, but your registration may be transferred to a future cohort of the same programme, subject to availability. If Jelita cancels a programme, a full refund will be issued.

8. Educational Disclaimer

Jelita's programmes are educational. The content is designed to help you understand financial concepts and the financial landscape available to Singapore residents. It does not constitute advice specific to your circumstances. You should consult a qualified financial adviser, lawyer, or tax professional before making any significant financial decision.

Jelita makes no representation about the suitability of any investment or financial product for any individual participant. Past financial market performance discussed in sessions does not indicate future results.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Singapore law, Jelita's liability to you for any claim arising from or related to our programmes or website is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant programme.

Jelita is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses arising from your participation in a programme or use of our website, including any investment decisions you make after attending a programme.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Jelita against any claims, losses, or damages arising from your breach of these Terms or your unlawful or negligent conduct in connection with a programme or the website.

11. Termination

Jelita may terminate your participation in a programme, with immediate effect and without refund, if you breach these Terms or behave in a manner that is disruptive, disrespectful, or harmful to other participants or facilitators.

12. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. In the event of a dispute, the parties will first attempt to resolve it informally through good-faith discussion. If this is not possible within 30 days, the dispute may be referred to mediation through the Singapore Mediation Centre, before any legal proceedings are commenced.

The courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any legal proceedings.

13. General Provisions

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Jelita in respect of the matters they cover. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. Jelita's failure to enforce any right does not waive that right. These Terms may not be assigned by you without Jelita's written consent.

14. Changes to These Terms

Jelita may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued participation in Jelita programmes after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
